Léon Valade
Léon Valade (* 1841 in Bordeaux , † 1883 in Paris ) was a French writer.
Valade successfully completed his school days at the former Jesuit college Lycée Louis-le-Grand . He then worked for some time as the private secretary of the philosopher Victor Cousin . Later Valade then moved to the city council of Paris and was employed in the town hall .
In addition, Valade was able to debut as a writer and made the acquaintance of Émile Blémont . Together with this Valade wrote several successful plays. Through Blémont he came into contact with the Parnassians , to whom he is counted today. Alphonse Lemerre included some poems in the later famous anthology Le Parnasse contemporain .
A memorial was erected in his hometown of Bordeaux.
