Albert Mérat
Albert Mérat (born March 23, 1840 in Troyes , Département Aube , † January 16, 1909 in Paris ) was a French writer and translator.
Mérat is considered one of the Parnassians , alongside Théophile Gautier José-Maria de Heredia and Stéphane Mallarmé . His literary work can best be compared to that of Arthur Rimbaud or Paul Verlaine .
Nine weeks before his 69th birthday, Albert Mérat died on January 16, 1909 in Paris, where he found his final resting place.
