Léopold Standaert was a Belgian sailor .

Léopold Standaert took part in the Olympic Games twice. At the Olympic Games in Antwerp in 1920 , he won the bronze medal in the 8-meter class according to the International Rule of 1919. In three races with the Antwerpia V , he always crossed the finish line in third and last place, behind the two Norwegian boats Sildra and Lyn . The skipper of the Antwerpia V was Albert Grisar , the crew also included Standaert, Henri Weewauters , Willy de l'Arbre and Georges Hellebuyck . Four years laterin Paris , Standaert was fifth with the Ciss under skipper Léon Huybrechts .
