Lê Tú Chinh (born July 4, 1997 in Ho Chi Minh City ) is a Vietnamese sprinter .

Athletic career

Lê Tú Chinh gained her first international experience at the 2015 Asian Championships in Wuhan , where she was eliminated in the first round with 12.61 seconds in the 100-meter run . In 2016 she won the Junior Asian Championships in her hometown in 23.94 s over 200 meters and took fourth place both over 100 meters and with the Vietnamese 4 x 100 meter relay. In 2017, she won gold medals in the 100 and 200 meters at the Southeast Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur, as well as with the Vietnamese 4-by-100-meter relay. At the beginning of September she took part in the Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games in Ashgabat and won the silver medal behind the Kazakh Viktorija Sjabkina with a new personal best of 7.36 s over 60 meters . The following year she took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta for the first time , where she reached the semi-finals over 100 and 200 meters and took seventh place in the Vietnamese relay in 45.42 seconds.

In 2019 she reached the semi-finals at the Asian Championships in Doha over 100 meters, in which she was eliminated with 11.69 s, while she was eliminated over 200 meters with 24.06 s in the lead. In December she defended her title over 100 meters at the Southeast Asian Games in Capas in 11.54 s, won the silver medal over 200 meters in 23.45 s behind Filipino Kristina Knott and secured herself with the 4 x 100 meter relay the bronze medal behind the teams from Thailand and the Philippines in 45.17 s.

In 2017 Lê was Vietnamese champion in the 100 and 200 meters as well as with the 4 x 200 meter relay. In 2019 she won the 100 and 200 meters as well as in the 4-by-100-meter and 4-by-200-meter relay. She graduated from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Sport .
