Lüllau is a district of Jesteburg in the Harburg district in the Lüneburg Heath , Lower Saxony . It is located three kilometers west of Jesteburg an der Seeve .

The place is called Lüll in Low German .

history

The village of Lüllau was already mentioned around 800–850.

In 1364 the place was mentioned as Lulleghe in document no. 633 from the "Lüneburger Urkundenbuch, Archiv des Klosters St. Michaelis zu Lüneburg".

On July 1, 1972, the municipality of Lüllau was dissolved as part of the regional reform in Lower Saxony . The smaller part with then more than 400 inhabitants came to Jesteburg. The city of Buchholz in the Nordheide received most of it with more than 700 inhabitants at that time.
