L'Anse au Loup is located on the south coast of Labrador , 19 km east of the provincial border with Québec . The place is located on the bay of the same name, which opens to Belle-Isle-Strasse .
L'Anse au Loup is located on the Trans-Labrador Highway ( Route 510 ) between Forteau and West St. Modeste .
