The LG Brillux Münster is a German athletics association from the city of Münster .

history

LG Brillux Münster has existed since 1971 under the name of the longstanding main sponsor as LG Ratio Münster . After three basic associations left at the end of 2012, the trading company Ratio ended its involvement. At the beginning of 2014, the Münster-based paint manufacturer Brillux was won as the new name-giving main sponsor . At the time of the name change, the LG consisted of seven basic clubs, six of which came from Münster and one from neighboring Nottuln : TuS Hiltrup, BSV Roxel, Turngemeinde Münster , TSV Handorf, TV Wolbeck, Telekom Post SV Münster and the DJK SV Nottuln. In the course of 2014, Telekom Post SV merged with another club to form DJK SV Mauritz, gave up athletics at competition level and consequently left LG Brillux at the end of the year. At the beginning of 2016, the DJK Grün-Weiß Marathon Münster joined the athletics community. The athletics department of the SC Westfalia Kinderhaus joined as a further basic club on January 1, 2019 . At the beginning of 2020, the athletics departments of SC Preußen Münster and Schwarz-Weiß Havixbeck joined the LG. Both clubs were already members of the former LG Ratio Münster.
