The LHB railcars of the Stettin tram were a small series of trams - multiple units of the Stettin tram . Stettin, which is now Polish, was still part of the German Empire at the time of procurement . Linke-Hofmann-Busch was the manufacturer of a total of 15 standard-gauge vehicles in bidirectional design . The LHB cars, which were the fourth generation of electric tram cars in Stettin, were procured by the transport company known at that time as the Stettiner Straßen-Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft .

description

The cars were designed as two-axle railcars with central entrances. The body of an LHB wagon was 10,500 millimeters long and 2,200 millimeters wide. The vehicles had a double-leaf sliding door on each side of the vehicle. The cars had 24 seats and around 74 standing places. The passenger information served in the roof edge integrated line and target film boxes at front and rear. The power was transmitted via a pantograph . The power of the twin-engine car was 72 kilowatts . The entire body of the car was originally painted in a cream color.

commitment

All LHB cars were built in 1930 and were already available in the same year. Most of them ran on Line 1 with Niesky and Wismar sidecars.

In 1945 the vehicles became part of the Tramwaje i Autobusy Miasta Szczecina (later WPKM Szczecin). Seven cars - the numbers 165, 166, 168, 170, 173, 175 and 177 - were sold to Posen in December 1945 , where they were given the car numbers 9 to 15 and a new type designation S 2 .

The eight wagons that remained in Stettin were given new colors. The lower half of the car body was painted red, while the row of windows and the intermediate spars were white. 1959–1960 the remaining vehicles were converted into sidecars , which were given the numbers 516 to 521 with a second occupation as well as 524 and 525 and were used with the Polish railcars of the Konstal N or Konstal 4N types . They were retired and scrapped by 1972.
