The Konstal 4N is a tram car produced by the Polish manufacturer Konstal in Chorzów and Świdnica . 90 pieces were produced in the basic version.
Type variants are the 4N1 with disc brakes (335 pieces), 4N J , 4ND (80 pieces) and 4ND1 (386 pieces). The 4N was used on many Polish trams ( Częstochowa , Gdańsk , Katowice , Gorzów Wielkopolski , Kraków , Poznań , Szczecin , Warszawa , Wrocław ). Numerous copies have been preserved in the original or as official vehicles.
Narrow gauge version 5N
The narrow-gauge version built from 1957 to 1962 has the type designation 5N (39 pieces) with the variants 5N1 (419 pieces), 5ND (40 pieces) and 5ND1 (36 pieces). Locations were and are Bielsko-Biała , Bydgoszcz , Elbląg , Grudziądz , Inowrocław , Jelenia Góra , Legnica , Łódź , Olsztyn , Toruń and Wałbrzych .
