The two-axle railcars LS T3 of the Kleinbahn Lüneburg – Soltau and KWOe T3 of the Kleinbahn Wittingen – Oebisfelde were built in 1938 by the Wismar wagon factory in Wismar as vehicles with pulling and bumpers .

The railcars were taken over by the OHE and were given the designations OHE DT 0512 and 0513 . The LS T3 was destroyed in an accident near Hankensbüttel in 1964 , the KWOe T3 was converted into a sidecar in 1968 and was in operation until 1977.

History and commitment

The serial numbers of the Wismar wagon factory were 38/21109 and 38/21113. The purchase price of the KWOe T3 was 63,286 Reichsmarks . Both cars were designated T3 by their first companies and entered the OHE inventory in 1944 .

The LS T3 was so badly damaged in an accident in Hankensbüttel in 1964 that it was retired and scrapped.

The KWOe T3 was in service with the OHE until 1968. In the same year it was retired and converted into a sidecar. The car was still in use until 1977 and then parked. In 1982 it was retired and scrapped.

Technical features / equipment

The vehicles of the Wismar wagon factory looked modern thanks to the rounded corners. The car bodies were made according to the principles of lightweight construction of the time and made of frame construction. The passenger compartment with 52 seats was located between the relatively small entry areas where the driver had his workplace. The front doors were sliding. In addition, there were transition facilities for the train crew in the sidecars.

After the KWOe T3 had been converted into a sidecar, these transition doors were no longer available, the closed front section had two windows.

The two-machine system consisted of two Daimler-Benz OM 67 diesel engines and two Mylius transmissions.
