The Laguna La Angostura (Spanish angostura = "the narrow") is a reservoir in the province of Esteban Arce , Departamento Cochabamba , in Bolivia and is the largest man-made lake in the country.

The dam is located 18 kilometers south-east of the provincial capital Cochabamba at the exit of the fertile Valle Alto plateau , right next to the Ruta 7 highway , which leads from here to the metropolis of Santa Cruz in the Bolivian lowlands.

The in 1945 in collaboration with the Government of Mexico as Represa México completed dam now irrigates an area of 5,500 ha Prior to 1980, the dam was used mainly for irrigation of agricultural land in the. La Mayca region below Cochabamba, since the construction of new airport, most of this region is cut off from La Angostura.

In addition to irrigation, the reservoir is now an important tourist attraction in the region, with opportunities for fishing, hunting and water sports.

There are other dams with the name La Angostura in Mexico as well as in Costa Rica and the USA.
