La Capuera is a town in Uruguay .
geography
It is located in the Maldonado department in sector 3 . La Capuera is only separated from the two seaside resorts Ocean Park and Sauce de Portezuelo , which are adjacent to the south , near the coast of the Río de la Plata . The Laguna del Sauce extends to the north .
Infrastructure
The Ruta Interbalnearia / Ruta 93 leads past the southern edge of the village . A short distance to the east is the Capitán de Corbeta Carlos A. Curbelo Airport .
Residents
La Capuera had 2,838 inhabitants in 2011, of which 1,535 were men and 1,303 were women.
