The Capitán de Corbeta Carlos A. Curbelo International Airport ( IATA airport code : PDP - ICAO airport code: SULS) is an international airport in Uruguay .

It is located near the cities of Maldonado and Punta del Este in the Maldonado department .
History and equipment
The airport was reopened on December 19, 1997 after a renovation. The project, which was implemented by Consorcio Aeropuertos Internacionales SA mainly with funds from Uruguayan and Argentinian investors, has an airport building designed by Carlos Ott . The design is geared towards being able to handle 2000 passengers per day in the first two calendar months of the main season. The airport building consists of a white lacquered, completely glazed metal structure. The building complex houses a shopping gallery with 25 shops, a bakery and a restaurant. 600 parking spaces are available. The three-storey airport terminal has a total area of 13,000 m².
The airport has a runway 2133 meters long and 45 meters wide. The infrastructural and technical airport equipment enables the simultaneous use by five aircraft the size of a Boeing 737 .
