La Chartreuse (Bächigut) was a country estate in the municipality of Hilterfingen in the canton of Bern .

history

The Bächigut in Hünibach appears in the sources for the first time in 1326 as the property of the von Strättligen family . Anna von Krauchthal born von Velschen bequeathed the brook property to the Thorberg Charterhouse in 1459 . Niklaus Friedrich von Mülinen acquired the Bächigut in Hilterfingen from the state of Bern in 1807 in order to convert an existing Trüel ( Trotte ) here into a representative country estate in 1821. Curt von Zedtwitz bought the property in January 1896. The building was blown up in 1901.
