La Fonte des neiges (English title: Thawing Out ) is a French short film by the 37-year-old director Jean-Julien Chervier from 2008. The German TV version gave the film the title Schneeschmelze . The strip has been shown at several international film festivals.

The twelve year old, shy Leo comes in late summer with his mother on a nudist - Camping in the Landes department , where he met his same Antoinette. With her help, he loses his shyness and discovers his first love, while his mother obviously meets old friends again after she has not been there for 20 years.
