La Pedrera is a town in southeast Uruguay .
geography
It is located in the area of the Rocha Department in its sector 10 southeast of the department capital Rocha on the Atlantic coast. In the north, Punta Rubia y Santa Isabel borders the coastal section there, and Laguna de Rocha extends a few kilometers to the west . The closest coastal town to the southwest is Arachania .

La Pedrera is on Ruta 10 .
Culture
The seaside resort of La Pedrera is known for the carnival celebrations that take place there. These regularly attract thousands of visitors. For the year 2012, the mayor calculated with more than 20,000 guests and spoke of a rush that could no longer be managed.
