Laban was a pop duo from Denmark that was active in the 1980s . It consisted of Lecia Jönsson and Ivan Pedersen.

Career

In 1982 Laban's first single came out, "Hvor Ska 'Vi Sove I Nat?", A Danish cover version of the hit "Sarà Perché Ti Amo" by Ricchi e Poveri . Then they released the album "Laban" on EMI . Until 1987 they released another album with Danish lyrics almost every year, which always had the band name and the consecutive numbering in the title. In 1986, an English version of “Laban 4” came out under the name “Caught by Surprise”, the single “Love in Siberia” from which became an international success. On the album “Laban 5” there is a cover version of the title “Your is my whole heart” by Heinz-Rudolf Kunze (“Fange I Natten”, in the English edition “Prisoner of the night”). In 1988 the duo separated.
