LabourNet Germany is an online information service for news from the fields of trade unions and the world of work .

The organizational carrier of the information service Labournet Germany and owner of the domain www.labournet.de is the registered association Labournet eV, a network for education and communication in business and society. The association is based in Bochum . It was founded on December 3, 1999 in Stuttgart during the conference of the trade union left. The founding members included u. a. Andreas Bachmann , Frank Deppe , Kirsten Huckenbeck, Klaus Pickshaus , Bernd Riexinger , Christa Sonnenfeld, Mag Wompel and Bodo Zeuner . The members of the board are Wolfgang Schaumberg, Ralf Pandorf and Ulrich Leicht.

Industrial sociologist and journalist Mag Wompel, translator Helmut Weiss and editor Ralf Pandorf, who also works as a webmaster , work in the editorial department .

The information service, which also publishes a newsletter , is funded by the non-profit foundation Human Dignity and Communication Berlin. There are comparable services in Australia , Great Britain , Japan , Canada , Korea and Austria as well as in the USA .

Around two hundred updates are made every year. The information service comprises more than 30,000 files that can be accessed with an integrated search option. The homepage has around 300,000 visitors a month. Over 2,300 subscribers have subscribed to the daily newsletter. (As of March 2014.)
