Latschesar Baltanow ( Bulgarian Лъчезар Балтанов ; born July 11, 1988 in Sofia ) is a Bulgarian soccer player who has been playing for the Bulgarian first division club Botew Plovdiv since the 2014/15 season . He was also a Bulgarian U-21 player. His position is midfield.

Career

Baltanow began his career in the youth team of Levski Sofia , from which he was brought to the first team in 2004. In its first season they became runner-up and won the cup with a 2-1 win in the final against CSKA Sofia . The first championship title followed in 2006 and the double was won in 2006/07. 2008/09 dan Baltanow's third championship title followed, this time as a regular player he was instrumental in this success.

In 2006/07 he played for the first time at European club level. In the Champions League season 06/07 he played in the group game against Chelsea from the 59th minute. The game at Stamford Bridge was lost 0-2.

During the summer break of 2012 he signed a two-year contract with the Bulgarian FC Chernomorets Burgas and moved to the Black Sea coast. In his second year, the A Grupa 2013/14 , Chernomorets rose from the first division and Baltanov left the club. He returned to Levski Sofia in July 2014, a month later the contract was terminated and he joined Botev Plovdiv .
