The Lacus Felicitatis is a frozen lava lake on the moon . His name was given to him in 1976, is Latin and means "lake of happiness". Like all lowlands on the moon, the Lacus Felicitatis consists of basaltic magma . It measures around 90 km and lies at 19 ° N and 5 ° E, between the Montes Apenninus , the Mare Serenitatis and the Mare Vaporum .
