Ladislav Heller (born October 15, 1938 ) is a former Czechoslovak cyclist .

Heller was a Czechoslovak state amateur at the Slavoj Terezín cycling club and had learned to weld. After he became Czechoslovakian road individual champion in 1960, he became internationally known for his four starts in the three-country stage trip Internationale Friedensfahrt . The Czechoslovakian Cycling Federation nominated the 1.76 m tall Heller for the first time in 1961. On his debut, he made the tenth stage to Karlsbadfor the only Czechoslovak victory on the 1961 tour. Later on in the journey, however, Heller retired due to a complicated broken leg in a fall. After he was not considered for the peace run in 1962, he started again in 1963 and was the second best Czechoslovakian in the individual ranking. Heller contested his most successful peace run in 1964. As in 1961, he again won the stage to Karlsbad and was tenth in the end. Eleven minutes behind the tour winner and teammate Jan Smolík . Heller did his fourth and last peace run in 1965. He won the fourth stage in a sprint out of a three-man top group and thus secured sixth place in the individual classification. As a total of fourteenth he was eliminated on the 10th stage in theSlovak Tatrabergen again after a fall and broken leg. Heller was also supposed to take part in the peace run in 1966, but canceled shortly before the start of the race due to poor form.

In the early 1970s he was run over by a train near Terezín (Theresienstadt) and died. In memory of the Czechoslovak cyclist Jaroslav Menhart, who also died, the Menhart-Heller Memorial Cycle Race is held every spring in the Czech town of Třebušín .
