Ladislav Kareš (born November 19, 1919 in Prague ; † May 15, 2001 ) was a Czech football player .

Player career

Ladislav Kareš played from 1939 for Bohemia AFK Vršovice , which was promoted to the first division in 1941. In the following three seasons, the striker scored 86 goals for the club. In 1945/46 Kareš played for SK Pardubice, from 1946 to 1948 for Viktoria Plzeň . Then Ladislav Kareš moved to Sokol Teplice and scored the first goal for Teplice in the first division in a 3-1 win against Sokol Ocelárny Kladno on matchday one. During the 1950 season, Kareš moved to Dynamo Slavia Prague and ended his career there after the 1951 season.

For the Czechoslovak national team Ladislav Kareš played two internationals, on September 4, 1949 in a 1: 3 against Bulgaria and on May 21, 1950 in a 1: 1 in Bucharest against Romania .

In total, Ladislav Kareš scored 163 first division goals, placing it tenth in the goalscoring club Klub ligových kanonýrů .
