The Lady Evelyn Lake is a reservoir in Timiskaming District in the eastern Canadian province of Ontario .
The Lady Evelyn Lake consists of two roughly equal parts of the lake - a southern and a northeastern part - which are connected by the Obisaga Narrows . The lake is traversed by the Lady Evelyn River , a tributary of the Montreal River , from south to north. The southern part of Lady Evelyn Lake is within Lady Evelyn-Smoothwater Provincial Park . The lake has an area of 77 km².
The associated Mattawapika Dam was built just under one kilometer from the confluence of the Lady Evelyn River in the Montreal River in 1925. The storage capacity of Lady Evelyn Lake is 308 million m³. The dam operated by Ontario Power Generation serves to regulate runoff and protect against flooding.
Lady Evelyn Lake is usually reached by seaplane. The following types of fish are caught in the lake: eyeglasses , pike , black bass and herring vendace .
