The Laher pond is a quarry pond in the district of Lahe in the northern city of Hannover , Lower Saxony .
It is located immediately east of the Lahe city cemetery in the north-western corner of the Hanover-Buchholz motorway junction . To the east of the Laher pond and on the northeast side of the cross lies the Altwarmbüchener See .
The Laher pond has been used as a fishing water by the Hanover fishing association since 2008 . In 2009 eel, perch, pike, carp, roach and pikeperch were reported from the lake. The northeastern extension of the lake is only 1–2 m deep, is under protection and is not allowed to be fished. In the middle of the lake there is a pool about 11 m deep, in the south area there is a terrace 6 m deep.
