Lai Chi Kok
Lai Chi Kok ( Chinese 荔枝角 , Pinyin Lizhi jiǎo , Jyutping Lai 6 zi 1 Gok 3 - " lychee -Landspitze") is a neighborhood in Hong Kong District Kowloon .

It is located northwest of Sham Shui Po District and southeast of Kwai Tsing District . Administratively, the area belongs to the Sham Shui Po district. The cape is between Sha Wan and Lai Chi Kok Bay . Lai Chi Kok is separated from Cheung Sha Wan by a river that flows out of the Butterfly Valley .
history
The Qing government installed a customs office on the Cape after ceding Hong Kong Island and Kowloon to the British . After the British signed a lease for the New Territories , they made the claim to Lai Chi Kok to use the headland militarily.
Hong Kong's first largest private large housing estate, Mei Foo Sun Chuen, is located in Lai Chi Kok .
