The Kwai Tsing District ( Chinese 葵青 區 / 葵青 区 , Pinyin Kuíqīng Qū , Jyutping Kwai 4 cing 1 Keoi 1 ) is an administrative area in the New Territories of Hong Kong . The district is divided into the island of Tsing Yi and the mainland part of Kwai Chung . More than 500,000 people live in an area of slightly less than 20 km² (1,983 hectares ).
