Tsuen Wan ( Chinese 荃灣 區 / 荃湾 区 , Pinyin Quán Wān Qū , Jyutping Cyun 4 Waan 1 Keoi 1 ) is a district in the New Territories of Hong Kong . Around 300,000 people live in an area of 62.62 km². The center is made up of Tsuen Wan New Town ( 荃灣 新市鎮 / 荃湾 新市镇 , Quán Wān Xīn Shìzhèn , Jyutping Cyun 4 Waan 1 San 1 Si 5 zan 3 ), coll.usually short: Tsuen Wan ( 荃灣 / 荃湾 , Quán Wān , Jyutping Cyun 4 Waan 1 ) where most of the residents of the administrative district live. Geographically, the district is originally entirely on the mainland and belongs to the New Territories , but for administrative reasons the district also includes a small part of the north of Lantau Island .
