Laila Alina Maria Reischer (* 1980 in Austria) is an Austrian film actress , author and director .

Life

Reischer studied international economics in Innsbruck , graduated with a Mag. And went to Los Angeles for a semester at the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute.

She then devoted herself entirely to acting and the production of motion pictures and studied acting and dramaturgy at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. She played in numerous TV films and series such as Tatort , Soko Donau and Der Bergdoktor .

Reischer's directorial work includes the short films Avalon (2008) and Eisland (2013), where she also appeared in front of the camera alongside Michael Steinocher and Lucas Zolgar .

In 2011 she was invited to the Talent Actor's Stage of the Berlinale (61st International Film Festival in Berlin) as a European young talent and acting talent .

Awards

She was awarded the 2011 New York Film Festival as best supporting actress for her role in the mystery thriller 22:43 - Destiny has a plan and in 2013 she received the Arthur Haidl Prize from the city of Innsbruck.
