Laine Erik (married Kallas; born April 21, 1942 in Särevere , Türi ) is a former Estonian middle -distance runner who started for the Soviet Union on the 800-meter distance .

In 1964 she was sixth at the Tokyo Olympic Games, in 1967 she won the Universiade , and in 1968 she reached the semifinals of the Olympic Games in Mexico City .

In 1964, 1967 and 1968 she became Soviet champion. She set her personal best of 2: 03.6 minutes on September 4, 1967 in Kiev .

In 1967 and 1968 she was named Sportswoman of the Year in Estonia .
