Lajos Dávid

Lajos Dávid - full name Lajos Leopold Dávid - (* 1913 in Budapest , † 1944 ) was a Hungarian table tennis player . In the 1930s he won eight medals at world championships .

Career

From 1929 to 1934 Lajos Dávid took part in six world championships for Hungary . He won the title four times with the Hungarian team, namely ( 1930 , 1931 , 1933 and 1934 ). In 1932 the team "only" came second. In 1931 he reached the semi-finals in singles, in 1931 and 1933 he won silver in doubles with István Kelen .

In 1930 he entered the International German Championships in Hanover. Here he won doubles with István Kelen . In 1933 he became national Hungarian individual champion.

In the ITTF world rankings in 1932 Dávid was ranked sixth.
