The Lake Chapman is a lake in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It is located on The Flatiron headland at the head of Granite Harbor .
The New Zealand Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the lake on August 14, 2002 after the New Zealand limnologist Margaret Ann Chapman (* 1937) from the University of Waikato , who was the first woman to lead a scientific expedition to Antarctica from 1970 to 1971.
