The Flatiron (English for The Iron ) is a rocky and raised headland on the Scott Coast of East Antarctica Victoria Land . It overlooks the southwest section of Granite Harbor .
Participants in the Terra Nova Expedition (1910–1913) led by British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott mapped them. Scott gave it the descriptive name because of its triangular shape.
