Lambert of Constance
Lambert (first mentioned in 996; † May 16, 1018 ) was Bishop of Constance from 995 to 1018 .
Life
Lambert was probably first a monk before he became Bishop of Constance after the death of Gebhard II . He took part in the synod and coronation of Otto III in 996 . in Rome , as well as in other synods of Otto III. and Heinrichs II. Lambert was on Otto III's deathbed. present and accompanied the body back to Germany. During his tenure, the Konstanz Minster was partially rebuilt and expanded.
