The Lamin Bolong is a small left tributary of the West African Gambia River .

The Lamin Bolong has its source in the Abuko Nature Reserve and flows through this nature reserve in a northeastern direction in the mangrove forest Tanbi Wetland Complex . Here it is ten to 15 meters wide.

After about nine kilometers in total, it joins this canal network at a width of 335 meters at the coordinate 13 ° 24 ′ 59 ″  N , 16 ° 36 ′ 53 ″  W Coordinates: 13 ° 24 ′ 59 ″  N , 16 ° 36 ′ 53 ″  W with the Daranka Bolong to the Lamin-Daranka-Channel .

The addition Bolong , which has many tributaries of the Gambia, means "moving water" or "tributary" in the Mandinka language .
