Lamovita ( Cyrillic Ламовита) is a place in northwestern Bosnia and Herzegovina . It is located 22 kilometers southeast of Prijedor on the M4 towards Banja Luka , three kilometers from the small town of Omarska . Lamovita is about 37 kilometers from Banja Luka.

Lamovita is in the immediate vicinity of the Kozara Mountains . It is a transit point on the M4 main road, which is a direct connection between the two cities of Prijedor and Banja Luka .

The summers in this mountainous region of northwestern Bosnia are dry and warm, so temperatures over 40 degrees Celsius can also be found in and around Lamovita. The winters, however, are snowy and cold.
