Landen Ridge is a narrow and around 900 m high mountain ridge on the Foyn coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises at the eastern end of the Cole Peninsula .
In December 1947, the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey carried out surveys while participants in the American Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947-1948) took first aerial photographs. The expedition leader Finn Ronne named the ridge after David Landen (1908–1988) of the United States Geological Survey , who was involved in the development of the aerial photography program of the research trip and the evaluation of the aerial photographs.
