The regional working group of memorials and memorial initiatives in Baden-Württemberg (LAGG) is a working group organized in the form of an association for the activities of "around" 70 memorials and memorial initiatives .

history

The working group was founded in 1995 by 20 memorial sites. The goals of the LAGG include promoting cooperation between memorial institutions and remembering persecution and resistance during the Nazi era . The umbrella organization represents the common interests of its members towards the state of Baden-Württemberg and the municipalities . The LAGG is supervised by the state center for political education .

In 2016, 12 memorials of the former Natzweiler concentration camp complex that are LAGG members founded the association of memorials in the former Natzweiler concentration camp complex .

Operational partnerships

LAGG is an operational partner for the Hotel Silber, a place of remembrance, in Stuttgart and for the European Day of Jewish Culture in Alsace and Baden-Württemberg .
