Oberdorf District Court

The Oberdorf district court was an older Bavarian district court that existed from 1804 to 1879 and was based in Oberdorf in what is now the Ostallgäu district . In the Kingdom of Bavaria , the regional courts were judicial and administrative authorities, which were replaced in administrative matters by the district offices in 1862 and in legal matters by the local courts in 1879 .

In 1804, the Oberdorf district court was established in the course of the administrative restructuring of Bavaria . This came to the newly founded Illerkreis with the capital Kempten . From the separation of administration and judiciary (1862) until retirement in 1879 (at the same time renaming to the district court ), the last district judge was Ludwig Wilhelm Fischer, who emerged as a local researcher .
