Landin is a district of the municipality of Kotzen in Havelland .

history

Village church

In the Middle Ages, to the west of Landin, there was Landin Castle on the Teufelsberg , the only known hilltop castle in the area. The village was first mentioned in documents in 1353. At that time the settlement was owned by the von Bredow family .

In the course of the Brandenburg municipal area reform , the villages of Kotzen, Kriele and Landin merged on October 26, 2003 to form the municipality of Kotzen.

Landin pumping station

In Landin, the Protestant village church built at the beginning of the 18th century is protected as a monument . In the church there is a pulpit altar from the middle of the 18th century.

Near Landin, on the Great Havelland Main Canal, there is an old pumping station, which is also a listed building. The pumping station consists of a lifting pump with a vacuum suction pump, which was installed in a framework housing and the associated inlet and outlet structures. The facility was built in 1916.
