The building Landreiterstraße 7 in Schwerin , Schelfstadt district , Landreiterstraße 7, corner of Schelfstraße , is a monument in Schwerin . It has been used by the Christian community Arche Schwerin since 2010 .

history

The Schelfstadt, originally the Schelfe , since 1349 also Neustadt , has developed as an initially independent place since the 11th century. In 1705 it received city rights. A later building regulation prescribed the eaves and the height of the houses. Until 1969 the land on Landreiterstraße extended to the Ziegelsee ; since then the new Knaudtstrasse has separated it from the lake.

The two-storey, 11-axis classicist house from the end of the 18th century has a dominant three-storey entrance risalit with a large upper bezel or round window and a roof overhang.

The Baptist congregation had its headquarters at Landreiterstraße 7 for around 90 years since around 1920. It moved in 2010 because it needed more space. Since then, the Protestant Christian community Arche Schwerin has its domicile here. It belongs to the Bund Freikirchlicher Pfingstgemeinden (BFP) (see also Pentecostal Movement ).
