The landscape protection area Ems, Furlbach , with an area of ​​677.67  hectares at the time of designation, is located in the Paderborn district . The landscape protection area (LSG) was designated on March 31, 1970 by the Paderborn district, with the authorization of the district president in the Detmold district . The landscape protection area was established in 1970 with a time limit up to §1. December 1988. The LSG is located on the northern city limits of Delbrück . The LSG consists of two areas and is separated from the Steinhorster Becken nature reserve . Ems and Furlbach are in the LSG . The Ems flows to the east in the Untere Senne landscape protection area .

In the LSG there is mainly grassland and smaller areas with forests and fields. Individual farms are within the LSG.

The ordinance of the LSG prohibits the erection of structures, even if they do not require a building permit or building notice, as well as structural changes to the outside of existing structures. The afforestation of agriculturally usable areas is also prohibited, with the exception of the wasteland and the complete or partial removal or damage of hedges, field or riparian trees in the open landscape, as well as the modification or creation of watercourses or water areas.
