Landscape protection area clearing island between Scheidt and Hohenstein
The landscape protection area clearing island between Scheidt and Hohenstein with an area of 15.93 hectares is located southeast of Ramsbeck in the municipality of Bestwig in the Hochsauerlandkreis . The area was designated as a landscape protection area (LSG) in 2008 with the Bestwig landscape plan by the district council of the Hochsauerlandkreis . The LSG is one of 17 landscape protection areas in the municipality of Bestwig. In the municipality there is one type A landscape protection area, ten type B landscape protection areas and six type C landscape protection areas. The clearing island landscape protection area between Scheidt and Hohenstein has been designated as a type B landscape protection area , outskirts, landscape character , in the municipality of Bestwig. The LSG consists of two sub-areas. In the LSG there is only grassland and is surrounded by forest.
Protection purpose
The designation was carried out to ensure the diversity and uniqueness of the landscape in the vicinity of the localities and the old agricultural priority areas by keeping it open.
Legal regulations
How is the LSG into the other protected areas of type B in Bestwig prohibition of afforestation and tree - Schmuckreisig- and nursery crops to apply. As in all type B landscape planning areas, there is a requirement to keep the LSG free from forest cover through agricultural use or through maintenance measures.
