The Landsmannschaft Weichsel-Warthe Bundesverband eV is an association for displaced persons . The country team Weichsel-Warthe sees itself as a “bridge of understanding” between Germans and Poles and makes its contribution to German-Polish understanding and reconciliation “on the basis of historical truth” and the charter of German expellees of August 5, 1950. Another The main task is to preserve, maintain and convey the cultural heritage of Germans from the regions of Poland mentioned above . The members of the LWW have come together in local, district and regional groups and work together on all levels with the Federation of Displaced Persons.

Many members of the LWW have also joined in home district communities. The organ of the LWW is the "Mitteilungsblatt Weichsel-Warthe", which appeared monthly as a supplement to the three church magazines and from year 61.2013, issue 10 is contained in "Poznan Voices". In addition, the LWW publishes its “Yearbook Weichsel-Warthe” every year with historical, social and current articles.

The state of Hesse took on the sponsorship of the LWW in 1990 in order to support the work of the Landsmannschaft, to preserve the cultural heritage of the Germans from Poland and to promote the efforts of the Landsmannschaft to be a bridge between the German and Polish people.
