The Lang Nunatak is an approximately 2300 m high and isolated Nunatak in the south of the Palmerland on the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises 50 km west of the head end of the Irvine Glacier .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1961 to 1967. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1968 after James F. Lang, deputy representative of the United States Antarctic Research Program on the Byrd Station in the Antarctic summer between 1965 and 1966.
