The Langsdorf Peace (also Langsdorf Treaty ) of 10./11. September 1263 spoke in the Thuringian-Hessian War of Succession (1247-1264) Heinrich I of Hesse , the son of Sophie von Brabant , the county of Hesse.

In 1263, Langsdorf was chosen as a neutral place to negotiate territorial disputes between Margrave Heinrich the Illustrious of Meissen , Sophie of Brabant and the Archbishop of Mainz , Werner von Eppstein . The result, the detachment of Hesse from the Landgraviate of Thuringia and its sovereignty, was proclaimed in the Langsdorf Peace. Heinrich I became the first Landgrave of Hesse.
