Lanserode (desert)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The former settlement site Lanserode is now a deserted village , located in the corridor rooms south of the town Dornburg-Camburg in Saale-Holzland in Thuringia .

The proof

It is still unclear whether there is a desert here. There are no proven archaeological or documented finds. A field name can only be found in land maps from the 19th century and interest books from the 18th century. Two old streets from the Saale valley lead from the desert of Hummelstedt past the desert fortifications of Burgschädel , touching the desert of Lanserode on the left-hand side of the Ilm-Saale-Platte and directly past the famous burial mound towards Darnstedt to Ilmfurt .

East of the Saale north of Hummelstädt, the Graitschen or Groitschen desert has been identified.
