Lanz Iberica

Lanz Iberica was a Spanish manufacturer of agricultural machinery . The company was a branch of Heinrich Lanz AG , which was taken over by the American agricultural machinery manufacturer John Deere in 1956 and continues under this name to this day.

By buying Heinrich Lanz AG from Mannheim in November 1956, John Deere owned a share in Lanz Iberica in Spain , with a factory in Getafe , not far from Madrid. Here, from 1956 to 1963, the construction of Lanz Bulldogs continued, but with a few modifications for use in viticulture and fruit growing.

The D 3012 , for example, was a viticulture bulldog and the D 4090 corresponded to the D 4016 . The largest model from Lanz Iberica, however, was the Lanz D 6516 . The color scheme of the machines produced by Lanz Iberica was blue-orange from 1956 to 1960, from 1961 they too received the green-yellow John Deere paintwork.

In 1963, Lanz Iberica's bulldog production ended. From then on, John Deere machines were manufactured in Getafe .
