Laodike Thea Philadelphos
Laodike Thea Philadelphos (* between 122 and 115 BC) was a daughter of the Seleucid king Antiochus VIII and the Ptolemaic Cleopatra (?) Tryphaina . In order to confirm a peace treaty between Syria and Kommagene, she married the heir to the throne of the latter empire, Mithridates I. Kallinikos, and gave birth to Antiochus I. Theos , who built a monumental tomb on Nemrut Dağı with his family tree attached to it. The Hierothesion at Karakuş was not built for Laodike, but for her granddaughter of the same name, one of the daughters of Antiochus I.
