The Lardeau River is a 44 km long right tributary of the Duncan River in the Canadian province of British Columbia .

The Lardeau River forms the drain of Trout Lake in the north of the Selkirk Mountains . It flows in a south-easterly direction through the mountains. The British Columbia Highway 31 follows the river. The Lardeau River finally flows into the Duncan River below the Duncan Dam .
Hydrology
The Lardeau River drains an area of about 1640 km². The mean discharge 3 km above the mouth is 58.8 m³ / s. The highest runoffs are usually measured in June.
