Larry Wade

Larry Wade (born November 22, 1974 in Giddings , Texas ) is a retired American athlete .

Career

Larry Wade trained under the top American coach John Smith , who also looked after greats like Maurice Greene and Ato Boldon . He celebrated his greatest international success with a fourth place at the 2003 World Athletics Championships in Paris over 110 m hurdles .

With his best performance of 13.01 seconds over 110 m hurdles, he was in 11th place on the all-time best list.

doping

On May 11, 2004, Wade tested positive for 19-nandrolone during a training control. After the US Athletics Federation USATF only handed the case over to the US Anti-Doping Agency in September 2004, it was suspended in November 2005 with retroactive effect from July 12, 2004.
